Running projects

Metex ME-6

The Metex was our first engine project. The pistons were seized in the bore, valves siezed and not sealing and the entire fuel system filled with moist red dirt. All moving parts jammed in place. A big clean out, liberal lubrication and a good bit our outside help all contributed to seeing this engine start again on September 2015. The engine was originally located at Mt Burgess Station, Coolgardie. She requires a repaint, trolly and wheels.

Bamfords Z2

Gifted to the Men's Shed, the engine was missing the fuel pump assembly. After some fiddling, a fuel pump was fitted, and the engine first run December 2015. She still needs a fuel filter assemply, Oil drip feed glass for the top end and a wheeled trolly.

Lister DK

Gifted to Men's Shed, this little petrol engine was unable to generate any power to create a spark. After a good cleanout of the magneto, a fat spark was discoverd by spinning the engine and inadvertaently receiving a generous shock. Engine first run December 2015. She leeks a little fuel and requires a trolly, fitting of water tank and wheels.
